How to become a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer?

To become a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer follow the steps given below :-

Step 1: First the candidate has to take admission in AME institute, For admission candidate should fill the AME application form for registration. AME is the national common entrance exam. Their form can be filled in online and offline mode.

Step 2: Candidate must be passed 10+2 with PCM and minimum aggregate of 45% marks. At the time of admission candidate age can be between 16–28 years and candidate must not have color blindness and any other physical disability.

Step 3: AME course is a 4 years license programme, 2 years of theoretical and 2 years of practical training in live environment. The first 2 years student study the theoretical aspects and final 2 years, they undergo training with airlines or MRO organizations.

Step 4: The DGCA(Director General of Civil Aviation) has created 2 main categories for this engineering i.e. Mechanical and Avionics. There are 17 Modules by DGCA, Gov. of India. Modules depend upon the stream of student. Student has to clear modules to achieve the AME License.

As we know the aviation industry is one of the fastest grow in and dynamic industry in the world. The aviation field offers amazing career path. An appropriate license enables you to work for any airlines anywhere in the world. The job of an AME is vital when it comes to passenger safety.
